Saturday and Sunday October 13 and 14 

from 10 am-5 pm.

 

I will be demonstrating Etching Printmaking and showing my Chicago images.

Hiroshi Ariyama  will be demonstrating Silk Screen Printmaking featuring his images of Chicago

The Chicago Architecture Center’s Open House Chicago is a free public festival on October 13th and 14th that offers behind-the-scenes access to over 250 buildings across Chicago.

ART ATTACK in Sawbridge Studios Friday October 5

 

 

Sawbridge Studios, 1015 Tower Court in Hubbard Woods, will host the First Friday "ART ATTACK"  5 p.m. until 8  p.m. and feature my prints of Chicago.

 

 Take some time to browse the American hand crafted home furnishing that are the hallmark of  Sawbridge Studios.

 

I will display and discuss the stages to complete a finished etching and also show new relief prints of Chicago.

The Summer of 2018 and new art to exhibit

My newest etching represents the main entrance to 

Chicago White Sox Park at 35th and Shields.

The image depicts the beautiful statue, a tribute to the 2005 World Championship team.

This new print is an Aquatint Etching with hand coloring.  The plate size is 8" x 10 " and the paper is 12" x 14 ".

 

I have images of US Cellular Field, "White Sox Park from Parking Lot E" that are 4" x 6"  on paper 8" x 10".   Some of the Limited Edition are hand colored.

Friday, September 7 the Chicago Catholic Charities hosts the Gala of the Arts at Navy Pier.  I have included nine of my etchings of Chicago and note card sets.  This event is a major fund raiser for Chicago Catholic Charities.  I am one of 20 artists that participate for the benefit of this important charity work in the Archdiocese.

Art in the Shop - Sawbridge Studios

Sawbridge Studios in Hubbard Woods, 897 GreenBay Road, will host Art in the Shop on Saturday June 23 from 10am to 5pm and on Sunday from 11am to 4pm.  I will be featuring my series about the Chicago River. I hope you can stop in!

I will be discussing and exhibiting Etching and the zinc and copper plates that are the basis of this historic printing technique. I hope that you can stop in.

Meanwhile the North Shore Art League is conducting their annual Art in the Village in the downtown Hubbard Woods Park from 10am to 5pm on June 23rd and 24th.

My newest Chicago Streeterville  etching is on display and some may recognize this classic building and the replica monument to the WW I  US First Division in Washington by Daniel Chester French. The site, at 17 East Erie, is between Rush and State Streets.
