Skyscrapers Stand Proud
The Skyscrapers stand proud.
They seem to say they have
sought the absolute
and made it their own.
Yet they are blameless,
innocent as dumb steel and the dumber
concrete of their bastions.
“Man made us,” they murmur. “We are
proud only as a man is proud and we
have no more found the absolute
than has man.”

Note Cards on Parade
I am thrilled to announce that my note cards are on sale at these new locations: The Book Stall in Winnetka (which has a terrific newsletter if you need summer reading suggestions), Goods of Evanston - Fine Picture Framing, and Rush University Gift Shops.
We had a wonderful trip to Austin and especially appreciated The Broken Spoke and the historic Paramount Theatre
