Holiday Open House
The 18th Annual Small Print Show and Holiday Open House
featuring small printworks and artist-made gifts by members of the
Chicago Printmakers Collaborative and invited guests will be held at the CPC on
December 1st and 2nd, 2007, from 11:00am to 7:00 PM
Exhibition will be on display through February 2nd, 2008
The exhibition highlights a variety of print media, including etching,
lithography, woodcut and monotype. Traditional as well as experimental
approaches to printmaking will be featured by approximately 40 artists, including Hiroshi Ariyama, George Bodmer, Lauren DalPonte, Sue Demel, Joel Dugan, Christine Gendre-Bergere, Michael Goro, Susan Hall, Carrie Iverson, Scott Keifer, Jill Kramer, Deborah Maris Lader, Kim Laurel, Ray Maseman, Brian Novak, Joel Rendon, Artemio Rodriguez, Duffy O'Connor, Dennis O'Malley, Mary O'Shaughnessy, Jaunith Skinner, Jerry Svoboda, Anatole Upart, and more. This year, the CPC will also be featuring the work of our MCA screenprinting students along with their instructor, Doug Gapinski.
Most featured artwork in this exhibition will be for sale at less than $100.
During the opening reception, you'll find a variety of artist-made gift items for sale, including T-shirts, handmade bags by 4F design, blank books, boxes, jewelry, greeting cards, polaroid transfers and much more. The festivities will be enhanced by music, great food, and a spirited, fun atmosphere you won't want to miss! On Sunday, the CPC is pleased to feature harpist Jeannette Buerk from 12-2pm. It's entertaining just to check out what happens when a whole bunch of crazed printmakers are asked to bring a dish to share for the holiday table...........!
The Chicago Printmakers Collaborative is located at 4642 N Western Ave., in Lincoln Square, across the street from the CTA Brown Line L stop at Western.
